The Hosts

Most of our hosts are social entrepreneurs, but we have also included activists or other social changemakers. We call them Hidden Heroes because they have been quietly concentrating on their work and spend little time advertising their achievements. However, there are some who have been internationally recognized like the founder of a solar lighting system or the man who brought wireless internet to rural Nepal or the doctor who gives eyesight back to cataract patients all over the world.

Our hosts share their struggle and successes and explain the often crucial details of their business models. They themselves often benefit from the tours as they expand their network and learn from ideas and experiences of their guests. We compensate their time with a small fee and all profits of Hidden Journeys are invested into helping them strengthen their initiatives or others to start new ones.
